Vendakka Puli Kuzhambu

Ground Mix
- 1 tsp oil
- 10 shallots
- 1 tomato chopped
- 3 tsp coconut
Kuzhambu
- 10 ladies finger chopped in small pieces
- 1 tsp oil
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1/4 tsp fenugreek seeds
- 1 spring curry leaves
- 4 garlic cloves sliced thin
- 2 tsp vathakuzhambu powder can use sambar powder instead
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp tamrind paste
- salt
Ground Mix
In the same pan, roast around 10 shallots until brown.
Then add 1 chopped tomato and fry until mushy
Next add 3 tsp of coconut and saute it for a min.
Cool this mix and grind coarsely.
For Kuzhambu
In a pan, temper 1 tsp oil, 1 tsp mustard seeds, 1/4 tsp fenugreek seeds, 1 spring of curry leaves.
Next add 4 cloves of garlic sliced thin.
Once fried, add the ladies finger and mix well.
Next add the ground paste, 2 tsp vathakuzhambu powder (can also add sambar powder instead ), 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp tamrind paste, salt and required water for your consistency.
Boil it in simmer for 10 mins. It is done.
